Not everyone knows that I used to be an elementary school teacher. It wasn’t long ago, but I definitely miss it.

When I was given the opportunity to work with a past student, I was thrilled. I asked Anna if she would be willing to do a trial shoot of her doing some of her ballet moves, and she agreed.

You would never guess that she’s only been doing ballet for a little over a month. Her experience with hip hop, jazz, and lyrical has turned her into a graceful swan. Watching her was just so exciting, makes me want to go try it out myself. (Yeah right! I can just see me now….on the floor.)

Anna, thank you for giving me the chance to photograph you, you are just wonderful. I hope we can make our next shoot a reality.

Sweet Samarah

Being a parent I know how it feels the first time you hold your baby in your arms. The joy and pride you have in realizing that you are now a parent. The overwhelming feeling in knowing that this precious little bundle relies on your for everything. It’s priceless!

With Jermaine and Tania, the feeling isn’t any different for Samarah. You see it in their eyes. They have this unsurpassed feeling of love that they feel for her. It’s beautiful!

Tania has such a sweet, loving, gentleness towards Samarah. She holds and caresses her in a way that only an adoring mother can. She truly loves her little girl. And Jermaine wants to fix everything. If Samarah cries, he does whatever he can to console his little girl. He won’t take his eyes off of her. It’s so sweet!

Samarah is such a lucky baby to have such great parents! She is blessed to have parents who are going to love her and teach her to be just as sweet.

Congratulations you two, I can’t wait ’til March. :D

‘Tis the Season…for gingerbread cookies

I love spending time with family, and yesterday Jonathan’s mom surprised us with a gingerbread cookie kit. We spent the night eating chinese food, and decorating gingerbread cookies and christmas cards. We had so much fun, talking and laughing the night away. It’s moments like this that you remember in old age, and it’s one that I’ll definitely remember.

Baby Kimberly

Stephanie and Kenny had much to be thankful for in November, but one thing they were especially thankful for was their beautiful baby girl, Kimberly. Kimberly made a grand entrance into this world on November 20, 2011. They had been worried that she would make her apperance on Thanksgiving day, but instead she decided to share her birthday with her auntie, Illiana.

Although they haven’t gotten much sleep lately, Stephanie and Kenny are thrilled to have their baby girl home, and are absolutely in love with her.

Congratulations you two! Sleep will come to you soon; for now, enjoy every moment as she grows.

Little Cheese Puff

When I first heard what Stephanie and Kenny’s nickname for their baby was, I thought it was perfect. “Our little Cheese Puff,” she would say. Don’t get the joke of it…their last name is Cheeseman.

Stephanie and Kenny actually welcomed their little girl, Kimberly, to the world yesterday. Mommy and baby are both doing well, and daddy is just abslutely in love.

Stephanie, you are lovely!

Maldonado Family | Now 4

She is one tough cookie at almost 8 months, and when you meet her, you can’t help but fall in love with her. I’m talking about my beautiful baby niece, Alayna Rosalie.

I’ve had the blessing of being pregnant alongside my sister with both of my girls; I wouldn’t change that for the world. And when she told me she was having a girl, I was estatic. Perfect!!! A boy, and now a girl! We were both pregnant with girls.

I was there through it all, from the beginning, until she was born. Born absolutely perfect, with the cutest button nose, weighing at 5lbs. 11oz, just like her big brother.

I love this sweet little girl, and I hope that as she grows older, she always knows that her titi Noly is always here for her.

So, without further ado, here is the Maldonado Family, Plus One more.

Nydia, you are absolutely gorgeous!

Charlotte & Gerry’s Orlando Wedding | Stoneybrook West Golf Club

When you least expect it, life brings you love, in the form of a friend.

Charlotte and Gerry were just that, friends, and then it became more.

Gerry loved the person that Charlotte was, the person she was becoming, and what she would be. After becoming a close friend, he wanted to be more. He wanted her to be his, and he got his wish. She would become his wife.

Charlotte was quite the beauty in white. She looked absolutely gorgeous and when he saw her, the tears started flowing. I know men don’t like to admit that they cry, but I love seeing a man cry at his wedding. It melts my heart.

They said their vows, and sealed it with a kiss. Gerry and Charlotte were wedded.

We had such much fun spending the day with them, they have this chemistry that just shines through. A truly beautiful couple united by God.

Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful day. May the Lord guide you in your marriage and strengthen it daily.

Apopka Engagement | Kristie & Jason

I’ve known Kristie for more than 5 years now, and she’s been a great friend to me. When she told me about Jason, I could tell she was on cloud 9. She was head over heels and there was nothing that was going to come between them.

I am so happy that Jason came into Kristie’s life. He is a great guy, and he truly makes her happy. It’s a match made in heaven. So, when they asked me to shoot their wedding, I was grinning from ear to ear. OF COURSE I’LL DO IT!!!!!

I am really looking forward to their wedding next year. Kristie is one of those DIY kind of girls and she has some pretty amazing ideas; I keep telling her she should go into the wedding planning business, but I haven’t convinced her yet. She is putting together most of the details for their wedding, and I can’t wait to see the outcome.

She did show me the wedding venue and I absolutely love it; what a site! For those of you who don’t figure it out, I can’t tell you. Kristie wants to keep the venue a bit of a secret from her guests. I can’t wait for the wedding, I know it’s going to be amazing!
