Deanna & Matt’s Maternity Session February 28, 2012

Deanna came to me as a referral from Nick, an old friend from highschool.  Deanna and I spoke over the phone several times to plan her maternity session.  She had suggested that she wanted to do the shoot at a barn, and have a country styled maternity shoot.  I was very excited!

I have to say that I had such a good time with her and Matt during their shoot.  They are such a fun, loving couple and it was as though I had known them forever.  Deanna is so beautiful and so sweet, and Matt has a model inside just waiting to burst out.  He truly enjoyed having his pictures taken.

Deanna and Matt are now parents to a precious baby girl, and I am so looking forward to meeting their little bundle of joy.  Congratulations you two, you both deserve this very special moment in your lives.  God bless you all!

Little Cheese Puff November 21, 2011

When I first heard what Stephanie and Kenny’s nickname for their baby was, I thought it was perfect.  “Our little Cheese Puff,” she would say.  Don’t get the joke of it…their last name is Cheeseman.

Stephanie and Kenny actually welcomed their little girl, Kimberly, to the world yesterday.  Mommy and baby are both doing well, and daddy is just absolutely in love.

Stephanie, you are lovely!

Maldonado Family Maternity Shoot | Any Day Now March 21, 2011

It feels like only yesterday that my nephew, Ivan was born.  I was able to be there to experience his birth, and when I saw those big blue eyes, I just melted.  He was so small, weighing only 5lbs.  11 ozs. and I was so scared to hold him.  That was almost 3 years ago and now it is time for his sister, Alayna, to come into this world.

I am so excited, and I truly cannot wait to see her.  I wonder what she will look like.  Will she have blue eyes and curly hair like her brother, or will she come out with straight hair and brown eyes like her daddy?  Will she look like my sister, with her green eyes and light brown hair?  It’s all a mystery to me and I can’t wait to know the answer.

Every time my sister calls, I ask her the same question, “did your water break?”  She just laughs it off and says, “you are just like mom.”  But I can’t help it…I am just like my mom and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  The motherly instinct is there and even though she’s my sister, she’s my baby sister.  It’s my job to make sure that she’s always alright.

I’m starting to get antsy with the very soon arrival of my little neice, but for now…I must wait.  Patiently.  And it’s hard.

Baby Alayna, we are ready to see you and I’ve said it a million times, but I can’t wait to hold you.  I love you!
